Bad Bunny KISSES Gael Garcia Bernal in new Cassandro trailer

Bad Bunny took a Kendall Jenner break by kissing Gael Garcia Bernal in the new Cassandro trailer.

The Amazon Prime Video film is loosely based on the real-life story Saul Armendariz (played by Gael in Cassandro), the ‘Liberace of Lucha Libre,’ who assumes the stage name of Cassandro when he enters the world of wrestling.

The 29-year-old Puerto Rican rapper plays Felipe in the film, a drug dealer that shows a not-so-platonic interest in Saul.

After Felipe initiates the kiss, Saul reciprocates, but ultimately Bad Bunny’s character pulls away, saying, ‘I can’t do this.’

The film already made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival back in January.

Let’s get it on: Bad Bunny shares a steamy kiss with Gael Garcia Bernal in a new teaser clip from the Prime Video film Cassandro

Look of love: The 29-year-old Puerto Rican rapper plays Felipe, a drug dealer in the film who expresses romantic interest in Gael’s titular character Saul, AKA Cassandro

Although the Efecto rapper isn’t gay in real life, he has faced accusations of queerbaiting due to his typical androgynous fashion choices.

He addressed the backlash in his October interview with Vanity Fair, saying. ‘Maybe the queer person suffers more, but it is not like I put on a skirt and go out and they say ‘Look, how cool.”

Adding that he simply chooses to dress the way he does because it makes him ‘happy,’ the Me porto bonito rapper noted that no matter what he chose to wear, ‘They’re going to attack me with all their force anyway.’

Backlash aside, playing Felipe in Cassandro will be one of the Grammy Award winning singer and songwriter’s first major film roles.

He did play a part in 2022’s Bullet Train, portraying an assassin known as the Wolf as he acted alongside Hollywood heavyweights like Sandra Bullock and Brad Pitt.

While he was slated to play the titular character’s in Sony’s El Muerto (after they were blown away by his performance in Bullet Train), Stupéfiants Bad Bunny ultimately pulled out of the project, reportedly due in part to his touring schedule and the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.

In spite of the setback, the Where She Goes rapper made it clear to Vanity Fair that he still wanted to continue pursuing other acting roles.

He explained that action films were actually his ‘least favorite genre,’ and that he wanted to challenge him in roles in movies that had, ‘drama, romance too, or comedy.’

Gym, tan and laundry: The Cassandro star defended himself against accusations of queerbaiting because of his unusual fashion sense during a profile story with Vanity Fair

Tattooed and toned: While the Bullet Train star is no longer set to play the titular role in El Muerto, he expressed desire to continue acting in other projects

Sealed with a kiss: Although he isn’t gay in real life, Bad Bunny plays a convincing part in Cassandro

So happy together: Offscreen, the Puerto Rican heartthrob has been frequently spotted out on dates with his girlfriend Kendall Jenner

Suit up: The Dakiti rapper spoke about the importance of family in his life, in addition to his busy career, during a Spotify spotlight on YouTube

Acting and music career aside, the curly haired entertainer also emphasized his desire for privacy during the cover story interview.

He made it clear that while he loved his fans, they also didn’t have the right to know everything about his life.

‘They don’t know how you feel, they don’t know how you live, they don’t know anything, and I really don’t want them to know,’ he said.

Speaking on the common conception that celebrities owe everything to their fans, Bad Bunny added, ‘I don’t have to accept anything and everything because I wanted to be an artist. At the end of the day, you listen to me because you want to. I don’t force you to.’
